Biography

Who is Girotti Massimo?

Italian film actor whose career spanned seven decades. Girotti developed his athletic physique by swimming and playing polo. While studying engineering, he attracted the attention of Mario Soldati, who offered him a small part in the film Dora Nelson (1939), but it was not until later, in Alessandro Blasettis La corona di ferro (The Iron Crown) (1941) and Roberto Rossellinis Un Pilota ritorna (A Pilot Returns) (1942), that he began to make an impression as a serious actor. In 1943 came a turning point in his career when Luchino Visconti cast him opposite the torrid Clara Calamai in Ossessione (Obsession), an earlier adaptation of the same novel on which Hollywoods The Postman Always Rings Twice is based. The film marked, in a sense, the birth of Italian neo-realism. Some of his notable post-war films include Caccia tragica (The Tragic Hunt) (1946) by Giuseppe De Santis and In nome della legge (1949) (In the Name of the Law) by Pietro Germi. In 1950, he starred opposite Lucia Bosé in Michelangelo Antonionis first full-length feature, Cronaca di un amore (Story of a Love Affair) (1950). In 1953, he played Spartacus in an Italian epic film known in the US as Sins of Rome and then, returned to work again for Visconti, in Senso (1954), giving perhaps the finest performance of his career. In the years which followed, he appeared in a large number of mainly Italian films for directors such as Lizzani, Bolognini, Vittorio Cottafavi, Lattuada, but it was not until 1968 that he once again played a role worthy of his talents - that of the father in Pasolinis Teorema (Theorem) with Terence Stamp and Silvana Mangano. Two years later, Pasolini cast him as Creonte opposite Maria Callas in his Medea (1969). In 1972, he was in Bernardo Bertoluccis Last Tango in Paris. He continued to act in character roles for the next thirty years. Some of the films he appeared in have been notable, including Joseph Loseys Monsieur Klein (1976) with Alain Delon and Jeanne Moreau, the 1985 television miniseries Quo Vadis?, Roberto Benignis Il mostro (The Monster) (1994). He died on 5 January 2003 in Rome of a heart attack after having just completed his last film, Ferzan Özpeteks La Finestra di fronte (Facing Windows) (2003). Link to Wikipedia biography

Girotti Massimo birth chart analysis for Ascendant

In Vedic astrology, the Ascendant or Lagna is the sign that rises on the eastern horizon at the time of birth, and it plays a crucial role in shaping an individual's personality, life path, and experiences. When the Natal Lagna is in Virgo, the person is generally characterized by a practical, analytical, and detail-oriented approach to life. Virgo is an Earth sign ruled by Mercury, emphasizing a strong inclination towards intellectual pursuits, communication, and a systematic lifestyle. Such individuals are often meticulous, with a keen eye for detail, and have a natural ability to organize and analyze information. The placement of the Lagna in Uttar Phalguni Nakshatra, which spans the last part of Leo and the early part of Virgo, adds layers to the Virgo Ascendant. Uttar Phalguni is ruled by the Sun and is associated with qualities like generosity, leadership, and a strong sense of duty and responsibility. Individuals with this nakshatra influence may exhibit leadership qualities, a desire to help others, and a strong sense of ethics and integrity. The placement of the Lagna lord, Mercury, in the 8th house in Aries and in Ashwini Nakshatra is significant. The 8th house is often associated with transformation, mysteries, and deep-seated changes. It can indicate a life filled with profound transformations, as well as an interest in the occult, psychology, or healing. Mercury in Aries suggests a quick, assertive, and pioneering intellect, possibly leading to innovative ideas and approaches. The Ashwini Nakshatra, ruled by Ketu, enhances a sense of adventure and healing abilities, often bringing traits like spontaneity, energy, and a desire to initiate new projects or ideas. This configuration suggests a person who is not only detail-oriented and analytical but also possesses a dynamic and transformative intellect. They are likely to experience significant personal transformations and may be drawn to fields involving healing, research, or any area requiring deep analytical skills.
