Jenifer

French pop singer and actress who has had a number of hit singles on the French, Belgian and Swiss charts since winning the first season of Star Academy France in 2002. She was born to a Belgian-Corsican-Italian mother and Jewish-Algerian father who was fond of soul music. Aged seven, she sang "Milord", Edith Piafs song, in a family gathering. Thirteen years later, she was the winner of the TV show Star Academy on TF1. In 2004, she received an MTV Europe Music Award for Best French singer. Since 2012, she has been one of the coaches on The Voice on TF1, along with Florent Pagny, Garou, and Louis Bertignac. In 2013, she played her first role as an actress. From 2002 to 2008 she was in a relationship with Maxim Nucci, an author-composer, and they had a son, Aaron, in 2003. From 2013 to 2016 she lived with French actor Thierry Neuvic with whom she has a second son, Joseph, in 2014. In 2019, she married Ambroise Freschi, a Corsican entrepreneur and businessman.
