American editor of the Washington Post who became interested in the paranormal in his 60s. Through his investigations into parapsychology, he became the author of four books about ghosts and haunted houses, with the last title being "Communicating With Animals: The Spiritual Connection Between People and Animals," 1997.
Born on October 24, 1917 in Buffalo, New York, Myers Art was an American artist known for his abstract expressionist paintings. He studied at the Art Students League in New York City and later traveled to Europe, where he was influenced by the work of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. Art's paintings are characterized by their vibrant colors and bold, gestural brushstrokes. He was a member of the New York School of Abstract Expressionists and exhibited his work in many solo and group exhibitions throughout his career. Art died in New York City on July 14, 1991.
